Michael Toole Fineart

2/ The underpainting was dry, so today I started putting a another lay on and where my lights and darks will go, while adding more details and depth.
I will leave the willow tree until the last. You can see at the left side I have highlighted some reeds with reflection. On the right side I have started the same. The water I have put a thin glaze giving depth to the water. The bottom right I have added texture and shape for the water lilies. Along the bottom I want to see through the water with sunlight shining to the bottom of the pond.
Hope you enjoyed this one.
Michael

Started today on a new painting. I have been planning this one for quite a while. I think I will call this one "Reflections" That if it goes OK.
I finished the underpainting today, so I will let it dry for a while.
It is a big painting 800x650mm. It took a lot oil paint just to do the underpainting.
Thank you please follow and keep watching. Michael.

3/ Now finished my take on Monets painting "The Magpie" With a cottage we lived in, in the country.
This is an oil painting 700 x 500mm. I hope you enjoyed watching this come together.
This painting with the colours will go well in our newly painted entrance hall.
Hope you will follow my next painting. Michael
